ATARAXION: SUMMARY
NOTE: Links to all these threads can be found in his memories. This is basically for my own reference, so I can quickly analyze character development, injuries, dates of events, etc.
April - Glacius arrives on The Tranquility on April 8, waking up in the gravity couches in the medbay and realizing his chances of returning to his homeworld and his people have been cut down yet again. Due to his past experiences with humanity, the reclusive alien spends a great deal of time trying to hide away for fear of what will happen if the humans on board the Tranquility discover him. On the 22nd, as he is exploring and tying to gather knowledge about this strange situation, he encounters Dorian in the science department.
May 2015 - Glacius awakes in the medbay following the forty-third jump, where he converses with Rhys and meets Elizabeth. On the 3rd, Kate Bishop posts to the network warning about an unexpected guest and also links to a literal plethora of information about the Tranquility and its history. Glacius reads through much of it, and then responds to Kate, who confirms the theory about the ship's passengers existing in a multiverse. Disheartened by the thought of such separation from his people but determined not to give in, he decides to settle in for the long haul and try to make things more comfortable for himself here while he works on finding a way back to his universe and his people. Given how nonchalant Kate was about the prospect of aliens existing onboard the ship, he risks giving away the nature of his being when he posts to the network later that day. Most noticeably, Rhys and Wick provide him with an idea of how to bring his room down to frozen temperatures. He plans to take components from the freezers on unused floors of the Tranquility and install them in Room 007 ยป 006 with their assistance. On the 6th, he begins working on this plan, making a number of stops along the way.
Then, starting on May 11th, passengers on board the Tranquility begin to experience minor, spontaneous bleeding. Short nosebleeds, burst vessels in eyes and slim trickles of blood from ears are accompanied by sudden, sharp and debilitating headaches that somehow feel akin to something slowly ripping away. Painkillers and laying down in a dark and quiet room will go some way to alleviating the pain, but physical contact with others is the most successful ease - though nothing will seem to stop the headaches entirely. This causes Glacius a lot of difficulty due to the fact that he does not like it when people get up in his personal space, and that he still has a hard time openly trusting others to allow them that close in the first place. He suffers the pain and bleeding for multiple days until the 16th, when he encounters Cassandra Anderson in the gym and she shows him how to alleviate the symptoms. Ultimately, Glacius' respite is brief; he does not allow the contact for long.
On May 27th things begin getting even worse-- a deep boom reverberates through the ship; distant and deep, the sound rattles down to the bones, brings with it a warning, a slow dread that drips through the lancing pain of headaches, the creeping trickle of another nosebleed. Passengers on board the Tranquility begin experiencing a deep loneliness as well as psychological torments that manifest in the form of their worst fears or comforts, and they must fight their way through these in order to reunite with others and ease their symptoms. Glacius encoutners Wash's fears in the form of a pack of angry Reavers on the 30th, and helps him fight his way out of danger.
