I'll fight to return home.

Two millenia ago, an alien scouting party from a distant planetary system traveled to ancient earth to investigate troubling activity from the planet. After coming under attack by the remaining cultist followers of the demon lord Gargos, the scouting party was forced to send out a distress signal and hide themselves away, waiting for rescue from their homeworld. A single ambassador by the name of Glacius made the journey to rescue the stranded members of his species. Upon arriving on the planet the same cultists attacked the ambassador and took him prisoner, but before they could enact whatever plots they had for him a rift in time opened and warriors from the far future were thrown into the fray. Using the resulting chaos to his advantage, Glacius seized the opportunity to escape and battle his way to freedom. Once Gargos was defeated, the ambassador went on to locate his stranded comrades, whom he then freed and lead back to his ship. Though all of the aliens ultimately made it back to their homeworld safely, the ordeals of this alien ambassador explain why his race made a point of avoiding contact with humanity…

…until his descendant was forced to crash-land on our world 2000 years later.
